How We Ranked Them

Each platform weights different signals. ChatGPT relies on structured business data, review signals, and citation authority. Perplexity favors recent mentions and content relevance. We scored each contractor on four dimensions per platform: visibility (are you mentioned at all?), consistency (do the mentions align across platforms?), authority (how credible is your presence?), and volume (how many AI queries return your name?).

What Separates the Top 3 From the Rest

The contractors at positions 1 through 3 don't have better Google reviews or newer websites than those at positions 5 through 10. The difference is more specific.

They own their AI narrative. Top-ranked contractors appear consistently across all four platforms because they've intentionally built authority in the channels AI systems trust. They have strong Google Business Profiles with regular posts, verified citations on industry directories, published content that AI systems cite, and documented customer outcomes that AI systems can reference.
